Aquaculture & Poultry Integration Officer

Purpose of the role
Make fish, chicken and crop units work together safely and profitably within hubs and client farms.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and manage fish (e.g. tilapia) and poultry units, including stocking and feeding plans.
- Monitor water quality, animal health, biosecurity and welfare.
- Link fish water and manure to crop nutrition and composting safely.
- Train teachers, learners and farmers in husbandry and record-keeping.
- Keep production and mortality records and report on performance.
What you'll need
- Degree or diploma in Fisheries & Aquaculture, Animal Production or related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on fish and/or poultry production experience.
- Knowledge of biosecurity and animal welfare practices.
Nice to have
- Aquaponics experience.
- Experience with fish or poultry value addition.
